Publication ethics and malpractice statement

The Editorial Board of Forum Statisticum Slovacum (hereinafter abbreviated as EB/FSS) is fully associated with the principles of ethics of publication declared by the Committee of Publication Ethics. The EB/FSS is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. Authors submitting their works to the journal for publication as original articles attest that the submitted works represent their authors’ contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works. An editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. The EB/FSS expects all parties participating in the publication of Forum Statisticum Slovacum commit to these publication ethics. The EB/FSS does not tolerate plagiarism or other unethical behaviour and will remove any manuscript that does not meet these standards.

Author responsibilities:

Authors certify that their manuscripts are their original work unpublished previously elsewhere in the same form and not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. Authors must notify the EB/FSS of any conflicts of interest without any delay. Authors must identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscript. Authors must report any errors they discover in their manuscript to the EB/FSS without any delay.

Reviewer responsibilities:

Reviewers must notify the EB/FSS of any conflicts of interest. Reviewers must keep information pertaining to the manuscript confidential. Reviewers must bring to the attention of the head of EB/FSS any information that may be reason to reject publication of a manuscript. Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content.

Editorial responsibilities:

The EB/FSS must keep information pertaining to submitted manuscripts confidential. The EB/FSS must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content. The EB/FSS is responsible for making publication decisions for submitted manuscripts. EB/FSS refuses the manuscript, which is not in accordance with the requirements of publishing ethics.
